This is a tested recipe and I can guarantee it works just as good as any store brand. I work out frequently, have lived in tropical countries for extended periods and work as a labourer for part of the year, even without showering for a week and living out in the elements, I would choose this over a store brand any day. Note, it is not an antiperspirant, it is a deodorant, so it will not stop you from sweating, it will just ensure that when you do, you smell lovely and stay clean. If you are using an antiperspirant… stop!! At least switch to deodorant if you are not ready to make your own.

Ingredients
- 4 tbsp bees wax, grated or in pellets
- 3 1/2 tbsp shea butter, raw
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- 1/2 tbsp baking soda
- 10 drops tea tree oil
- essential oil of your choosing
- I used a mix of lavender, grapefruit, patchouli, and spearmint
Directions
- In a double boiler or a heat proof bowl resting on a pot of boiling water, melt together bees wax, shea butter and coconut oil
- Once all ingredients have melted, remove from heat and quickly stir in baking soda, tea tree oil, and essential oils
- make sure to dissolve and fully incorporate the baking soda
- Pour into a clean, empty, deodorant container and allow to sit for 6 hours to cool and harden completely
Notes
- Make sure to get as much of the mixture out of the boil as possible, as it cools it will solidify quickly
- The best way to clean the bowl you used in to allow the remaining layer of oils to harden and then scrap the bowl and discard remains in the garbage before cleaning the bowl
